I was browsing through my facebook page to read my friends' updates when I came across a picture of Brittany's son (mid-20s) holding a new born.
OMG.
Brittany, if you recall from my previous Koala Bear episode, is now a grandmother!!
Brittany is around my age and she is now a grandmother!!
Whoa!
So I decided to give her a call to congratulate and at the same time wanted to kacau her by calling her Ah Ma! She hates being old! Haha.
What I didn't know was that she was fuming over this, which caught me by surprise since I thought newborns are something that we are all supposed to be happy about.
As it turned out, she only knew that she is going to be a grandma ONE DAY before the child was going to be delivered.
WHAT?!!?
Apparently, the young couple ROM-ed a year ago and did not tell anyone. It was until they needed financial help before the phone call was finally patched through.
Don't know what they were thinking. The guy is a fresh graduate and certainly has no means of supporting a family. They were hoping that the parents can drop every friggin' thing current going in their lives and fly back to Taiwan to help take care of the baby while they are off to work in the day.
HAR? What is wrong with these kids? Since when was there a decree or law that all parents owed it to their sons and daughters that they MUST take care of their grandchildren? Talk about taking things for granted lor.
