Upon closer look, I realised that the shop sells nothing but bagels and I must say that there was quite a queue.
My question about bagel is...
Bagel Nice Meh?
Bread not like bread, donut not like donut. This bagel is one bladdy confusing breakfast.
Most of the time bagel is eaten with cream cheese spread but I am sure there must be 1,001 other things to put on it as well.
I tried. I don't like it and here's what I don't like about it.
- It is not as light as bread i.e. not as flurry or airy. A big mouth-full takes a long time to chew.
- It taste only so so niah. Compared to bread, especially those done by the old skool bakeries, I can even eat the bread on its own.
- Despite having the same hole as the donut, the latter is certainly more fun to eat. From the traditional sugared ones, to the ultra sweet glazed sugared ones. How about the one that is cream-filled on the inside and chocolate coated on the outside? Throw in a sprinkle of candy rice and we have a lagi happening piece of breakfast.
What do the rest of you guys think about bagels?
And speakin of donuts, here a donut joke.
Q: Who is the most popular guy in the nudist colony?
A: The one who can bring 2 cups of coffee and 10 donuts.

i love bagels. i'll choose it over croissants and I like it plain or with cream cheese. just no flimsy toppings... and i'm sure some will not understand the donut joke...ahem...

Uncle, pple eat bagel not for the flurry and lightness, but the chewiness. The chewier the better. Bagels come in different flavors too, like onions, black pepper, cinnamon raisin. They are yummy. By the way, it's not easy to bake bagel. It's not like baking your roti okay. 4. Lynne left...
