Factory Outlet Stores at Tanger

Remember the Outlet place that I passed by en route to Las Vegas earlier? Well, I did stop by on my way back. I mean how can I not pop in for a visit right?

Well, the place was pretty big and rather strange given that it was in the middle of the dessert. We learn from our Marketing 101 that retailing is all about location, location, location and here we have a retailing concept that totally defy all that and plonk it down in the middle of nowhere. As I walked further in, I saw quite a number of tour buses. Apparently there are bus tours operating this route between Barstow and Los Angeles, from which I am sure the tour operators will get some kind of a commission from it all.

If you head down to any Ch1nese operated travel agency in Los Angeles, ask about their "发财团". Confirm they sure have one. This is the bus and hotel/casino tour packages to take you from Los Angeles to Las Vegas. More often, then not, they give a very good deal when it comes to hotel prices in Las Vegas. I am sure en route that will stop by Barstow to offload the passengers to shop while the drivers head to the back alley to settle their commission from the last trip. =)

With Ch1nese operated tours, you get none other than lotsa Ch1nese shoppers. I tell you these TiongKok Langs hor, they shop quite hiong one. Their consuming powers is really scary. Mark my words, TiongKok Lang will take over the world one day. Better be nice to them till then.

Anyway, coming back, I was glad to get out of the car for a walk about as my butt ache and my bladder at the point of exploding. There were quite a few notable names like Tommy Hilfiger, Polo Ralph Lauren, Samsonite, Coach, Nine West, Reebok, Guess?, Gap, Old Navy just to name a few.

Go to their website at http://www.tangeroutlet.com/ (Location is Barstow, CA).

And speaking of Coach, how can I not kaypoh kaypoh go in an look see look see right? =P

Serendipity: Actually hor, I never win at casinos. Even if I win, I would probably keep playing until my chips run out.

Anyway, I don't expect to win. That is just entertainment for me. What matters is how long I can last with the same amount of chips each and every time. What I do before I start is to allocate a fixed budget. Once that is used up, I would just walk away.
This time round did not bad. Sat at the table from 9pm to 1am and still got chips leftover to cash out. Much better than last time in Tunica where I was wiped out in a matter of 20 minutes. That was damn siong!

sunflower: I have no idea what would be the cheapest as there were soooo many bags in there.

The ones on display in the picture is USD 249 and is still subjected to an additional 20% discount which would bring it further down to USD 199.20 (roughly SGD 315).

Jaslyn: Faith may be only 3 yrs old but she taught me one thing.
Girls go crazy with lust when it comes to bags and shoes. It's in their DNA. =P

Jaslyn: Nah. Not diamond. I am sure you would agree with me that bags and shoes would be more satisfying than a diamond. No?

Jaslyn: Think about it. How many and how often can you get a diamond. Compared it with how many and how often can you get shoes and bags?
Ok ok. Perhaps you are right with the fact the different people have different fetish.
So, what's yours?

diamonds is forever!! while bags and shoes... urm.. once spoilt, that's it la. Plus some of those branded ones are so bloody expensive.... The price of one is equivalent to getting a small diamond liao...

Anna: Exactly diamond is forever! So once bought liao, it will be the same stone for the rest of your life.
Bags and shoes however is a totally different case. Every season got something new and exciting. No?
