The Cambodia Dragon Boat Tragedy

It was in the news where 5 of our boys drowned when their dragon boat capsized.

There were representing Singapore in the dragon boat race held in Cambodia's Tongle Sap.

I shan't go on and write about what happened as they have already been covered by the papers.

Instead, I am writing this at the request of Lancerlord who is asking everybody to embed a song on our blogs as a remembrance to the five boaters, who lost their lives while flying the Singapore flag.

This song (Back Home) was done by one of the victims, Reuben Kee and it happens to be his last piano solo piece. The song will be played here until the end of the week.

Farewell, Chee Wei Cheng, Jeremy Goh Tze Xiong, Stephen Loh Soon Ann, Poh Boon San, and Reuben Kee En Rui.

May you rest in peace.

p.s. As requested, this is a call for all bloggers to play this song on their respective blog at least through Thursday, better if forever to remember them by.

.

hiaoauntie: Yeah, it's quite a pity that his talent was so short lived.
