Art Pad Fun!

Thought I tried my hand at a little painting with this nifty little web program call Art Pad.

I stumbled onto this on JasChocolate's blog who in turn got it from Cowboy Caleb's.

Click the picture on the left to not only get a bigger picture but also get a "brush-by-brush" replay of painting it. Way cool!

Go on! Give it a try!

Personally, I think I still prefer the old skool way of painting i.e. with real brushes, palettes, charcoal sticks, water colours, poster colours, spray paints, enamels, blah blah blah.... I remembered when going to Art Friend was so much fun but alas everything inside all super expensive one. Come out always flat broke one.

anna: I actually felt happy doing that little piece of painting. Makes me feel like a pre-schooler all over again. :)

Wah. Not bad eh. Don't we love going to Art Friend? The thrill of buying some expensive materials, the thrill of opening something new, the thrill of testing and creating a piece of art..

AngryLittleGirl: Actually I go to the one that is diagonally opposite Art Friend. Forgot the name of the shop liao. Much cheaper but less stuff. So go Art Friend only when I can't find what I wanted in the opposite shop.

Any idea, what was the name of the shop. Coming out of Art Friend's front door, the shop is diagonally opposite on the left side in the corner, nearer to the street.

i remember in primary school, they used to teach us to "dotdotdot" the trees in different shades of green to achieve that "tree" effect. just like in your drawing! heh.

ei|een: Heh heh... I guess when I was having fun doing the drawing, I was in fact just trying to relive the joy of my childhood. :)

Unfortunately, the "dots" on the computer was round in shape. I think it would have been better if it was squarish like a real brush effect.

jaschocolate: Is there a meme going on here? How come all of a sudden everybody want to be my sugar daughter?? *pengz*

lancerlord: You know computers are like that one lah... But one thing good about computers is that I was able to have countless undos with my own painting. Imagine if I were to use real paper and brushes, I would have killed a tree using up some much paper. Quite ironic to my painting's message. ~LOL

Akk: Aiyah, this type of thing takes practice one lah. Be patient and I am sure you would be able to come up with something too.

One thing good about computers is that you can always click the undo button and do over.
