Vegas - I Am Still Here

Decided to do a pictorial here as I am very short of time to actually sit down and type. This is a picture taken at sunrise. I have been up since 2am and just waiting for the sun to get up so that I can get straight back to work. That's my view from my room with the San Remo in the foreground and the McCarran airport in the not-so-distant left. Can you see the planes and the fleet of private jets. Oh how I want to get my hands on one of 'em yummy Learjets or Bombardiers. mmmmm......

Took this picture while I was withering in 42 degrees Celsius heat. Don't know why I snapped this picture when I am not even staying at the Golden Nugget. Somehow, I thought of Emily when I saw this. So this picture is for you Emily, you nugget!

This is the lobby of my hotel with the front door to the right and the casino to the left. I wondered if our casinos integrated resorts will be as beautiful as this?

This is the Seablue Restaurant that I mentioned earlier. Between this and Fiamma, I think the Trattoria is better.

This is close up of the aquarium from the earlier picture (right of picture). School of silver fishes circling in spectacular breath-taking fashion.

Managed to catch feeding time of the SeaBlue aquarium. That is probably by far, the safest diving trip ever!

If you think the MGM Grand is beautiful, wait till to get to The Venetian. It is the Sistine Chapel on steroids. I was there as the Sands Convention Center was there and connected to it and so we took the opportunity to grab a taxi via the "scenic route".

Michelangelo would have been floored when he sees that somebody has done a one-up over him. Alas, I think we will still remember him as a great artist for he did his Sistine Chapel the old skool way without any aid from technology. Well, at least, he would have been glad that it was he that inspired all these.

Finally found our way out to the cul-de-sac where all the taxis are. It was a long line for taxis, even longer than Taka on a Saturday afternoon. Fortunately, the cabs are in abundance as we snaked our way to the front of the queue in under 15 minutes. While waiting, I took a picture of the ceiling of the porch. Beautiful, isn't it?

hitomi: Contrary to popular belief, LV is not all about gambling. There are a lot of shows to see too.

One thing though. Not cheap.

Kelly: Missed Bellagio's fountain. But since Vegas is going to be a new regular event on my traveling schedule, I'd be sure to catch it during my next trip in Jan.

The pirates at Treasure Island has gone down the drain. They used to have navy vs pirates fights and the sinking of the pirate in the portrayal of good versus evil.

What I saw this time, was a bunch of women scantily clad in bikinis dancing on the pirate ship and then the ship sank. HAR? WTF was that?

Oh maybe it wasn't the weekend, so they don't do it properly?

Then this bus along the street pull up with screaming and giggling girls inside, all stark naked. Took me a while to realise that it was a mobile publicity stunt for some strip club nearby.
