Bad Dream

I was having trouble falling asleep on my first night in Atlanta. Not sure why even though I was dead tired. Although I closed my eyes and laid down, my mind behind the closed eye lids was wide awake.

There is this thing about me sleeping in an unfamiliar environment, like a friend's place. Ironically, hotel rooms does not belong to this group. I sleep well in hotel rooms somehow. Go figure.

Then I found myself sitting in the front cabin of a Boeing 747, presumably Business Class judging from the seating configuration. Initially, there was nothing strange about it. It felt just like any other flights that I have taken. I guess having flown so much, the euphoria from flying has long been abandoned somewhere between oblivion and forgotten.

Suddenly, I hear loud gasps in the background from passengers in the cabin behind me. The whole plane tilted to the right as if taking a hard bank. I can see the ground through the windows on the right. Residential houses peppered the whole area of green acres of trees. I guessed I was probably in the US as this was a familiar sight. Planes doing banking is fairly common on US domestic flights as the planes are circling the airport waiting for their respective turns to land.

Then I realised something is not quite right. The houses and trees through the windows appeared much much closer than usual. As a result of the close proximity of the objects outside, they appear to be moving very fast.

I got this "UH-OH" in my guts and with that, the whole cabin started tilting forward and we head into a dive.

I hear myself yelling "OH SHIIIIIIIITTTTTTTTTTT!!!!!!!!!"

Was it going to crash? Was it just a loss in altitude? Or was it trying to make an emergency landing?

I didn't get to find out as I was awakened by the shock. Looking at my watch, I only slept for 5 minutes.

Nah beh.... looks like it is going to be a long night.

heather: Well, it was very real when I was dreaming it. Perhaps it was due to my frequent flying that the scene in the dream was extremely detailed.

SB: What was expected?

mht: Work stress this type of thing, who wants? Not that I have a choice leh. Stress chose me. Not the other way round. :(

Akk: On a lighter note, I never dreamt of winning the $10 million TOTO leh... how? :P

To put it bluntly, if something had happened, your latest entry wouldn't have appeared. How can I phrase it in a better way.....
Never mind. Here's to owning your private jet so that you won't have to rely on lousy pilots anymore. Hey, you might get one someday you know. Despite your list.

er... I dreamt of something, I never told anyone, but it never turn true leh...
Even having ur own private jet doesn't mean that you would be free from lousy pilots.

winter: hahah... good luck to you then. 1-2-3 huat ah!

SB: I couldn't have put it better. If my plane crash then no more update liao. Tio bor?
In defence of the commercial jet pilots, they are not crap lah. I mean who wants to die right? I have to say that the commercial jet pilot is in no way inferior to that of a private jet.

Think about it, most of the mishaps are due to hardware failure then pilot error.

Anna: Does that dream involve Brad Pitt?

Sly: This trip no chance leh.. nah beh... come back must play gao4 gao3....
